Hi,

I'd like to add a link to the bottom of my email newsletters giving the recipients the opportunity to unsubscribe from the 'Subscription' role. Is this possible and if so how can I do this?

Many thanks

To the best of my knowledge, there is not a function built in to do this for you in the DNN core.  This is why I never use the built in newsletter feature.  The omission of this function prevents any company from being completely compliant with the CAN SPAM Act.  Also, it is just POOR customer service to not provide such a feature to your newsletter recipients.  :(

The best you can do is provide a link to e-mail you so that you can perform the function for them, and also provide additional contact information for the end-user to use to contact you for newsletter removal.

Jason,

please add this as an enhancement request into the public issue tracker at support.dotnetnuke.com. Thank you.

Sebastian, the way we have handled this link is to use a subscription handler file to handle the incoming subscription requests from those e-mails.
