I upgraded our DNN to 4.6 and now when I click on the "Login" link I get the error in my Application Event log and no login prompts are provided:

 Exception information:
    Exception type: ConfigurationErrorsException
Exception message: Could not load file or assembly 'DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Authentication' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. (c:\inetpub\wwwroot\web.config line 100) (c:\inetpub\wwwroot\web.config line 100)

Request information:
    Request URL: http://servername/Default.aspx?tabid=36&error=Object+reference+not+set+to+an+instance+of+an+object.
    Request path: /Default.aspx

Any help with this error is appreciated. I installed the AD authentication provider as detailed here:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/89/threadid/170019/scope/posts/Default.aspx

and selected it but, after logging out as host ,I am unable to get to a log in prompt anymore when clicking on the "Login" link. I only get the error detailed above.

Thanks,

Kevin W. Miller

There are two lines in your web.config under <httpModules> that start with <add name="Authentication".../>. Only the second one should be uncommented.
