Hi all

My upgrade page for DNN keeps popping up before i get to my website, i have logged into Host and turned off Auto Upgrade but it still appears. My site is online now and it happens everynow and then, im going live next week and i don't want it doing this!!

Please help!

This often (not always) happens when there are certain unhandled errors occurring.  When it happens, I can assume that your URL reflects something like:

http://www.domain.com/Install/InstallWizard.aspx

When that happens, replace the URL with the default.aspx page URL.  You may see an error.  If that doesn't help, you can perform the following step since the site isn't online.  In the web.config, change the customErrors mode to "Off" and try to recreate the behavior.  When it happens this time, hopefully you will have an error to try to fix.

Hi Mate

The url shown when it happens is http://www.offthebridle.com/Install/Install.aspx?mode=upgrade

i put default.aspx after the domain and it just took me

make sure, that your web.config file is not write protected and user "Network Service" (or "ASPNET" on WinXP) has full permissions for it and config subfolder.

What I meant by going to the ASPX page is this:

http://www.offthebridle.com/Default.aspx

I see that you can at least sometimes get to the correct page, as your content is indeed updated.  However, I would suggest that you follow up on Sebastian's advice.

(Off topic)  That is a BEAUTIFUL picture of a horse, by the way.
