Hello

I’m sorry to ask but I’m pretty new to dot net nuke and windows server 2007.

the reason I’m writing is that I have a final project for school to set up a portal using dot net nuke and I have tried but seem to be stuck. I saw you very well laid out tutorial and it is very informative however I am unable to get past the IIS part. I am running a virtual server windows 2007 and when I try to connect to localhost on my IIS part it throws me an error “only part of a read memory or write memory was completed”.

any body know what I may be doing wrong?

thanks for you support

I am not completely sure that this is an IIS issue.  Have you verified that the permissions for the DNN portal are correctly assigned?  You need to make sure that the "Network Service" account has read, write, and execute permissions to the entire DNN web site.  Also, verify that the virtual directory for the site has its application set to allow execution of "Scripts and Executables".

These may not fix your specific problem, but at least it's a place to start.
