How do I go about passing the users pertinant login information (userid and/or password) to a SQL statement or other program when the user logging in?

I have some reports to generate (VS2005 and Reporting Services) based on the user who logs into the portal.  I plan to utilize the .ascx control and upload the control to the portal and put it into a Open-Smart Module.

After a little research I did find out it is very simple to do and this site has it accomplished in 10 very easy steps and references DNN.
