I have a few pages that take a while to load and we experience a few slowdowns over the day at times

I would like to assure people that something is happening when they click a button by doing an overlay on the site and showing a message that the site is running

if you need an example of what I am trying to do see http://codeplex.com and try the serch feature - you get an updating message with that wonderfull (shudder) green overlay - I have tried to duplicate this in DNN in a few ways but cant seem to get anything that works

I also tried this control http://www.codeproject.com/KB/webforms/NicsBar.aspx

from code project but ran into issues as it just inserts its html into the response - anybody please have an idea or two?
