I am a newbie to DNN and not a developer, so please be patient with me.  I am running DNN 4.7 (possibly 4.6, but pretty sure it is 4.7, I can't login to confirm due to the issue I am having) on a shared hosting box.  The site has been up and was functioning fine for several months.  The public view and functions on my site work fine.  Logging in as a regular user works fine.  But if I try to login with either of my admin level accounts (host or site), I get the following error:

Server Error in '/site' Application.

The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /site/Default.aspx

Doing searches for this error here led me down the path of caching errors with the calendar module (I can't log in to confirm or change any settings, but the server hasn't blown up in the 2 weeks I have had this error though) and return URL errors (but a regular user has the same return URL and they work fine).  I don't recall any changes at the time the error started, except (memory is foggy now) I it might have been when I deleted a page that was only for priveldged users (based on a custom security group I set up).

Any insight or next steps is greatly appreciated.  Not being able to add content or admin the site is a bit of a hinderance.

Bump.  I desparately need help with this.  It is becoming critical at this point as this is a production site and I have marketing campaign tie-in that are scheduled and require site updates I can't make.

Is there more/different troubleshooting information I need to be supplying that would help get some input from the community on this issue?

Worst case, can someone refer me to an expert that I can pay for assistance (which I obviously hope to avoid and is why I went with this open source package)?

PLEASE HELP THE DNN NEEDY!

So no one has any insight on this?

Further research is showing that it is actually an issue of "view" vs. "edit", not a priviledge level issue.  Any account with editting privs that had the control panel default set to edit was blowing up.  When finding an account that was set to "view" in the top control panel, they are able to auth.  As soon as you hit the "edit" radio button, the site errors with the text listed above.

That said, I am still at a loss as to what could be causing this error.  So I can at least admin users at the moment, but can't update the site.

Any help?
