adding a pane for a Text/HTML module requires a modification of the skin, have a look into the Skinning Guide (available from Documentation page in Resources menu above) or the videos at www.dnncreative.com, as well as www.skinningtoolkit.com. There are also a number of free skins available, e.g. at www.xd.com.au

Thanks Sebastian, I tried to upload one skin into the site hosted in my local pc it saying me

Error: File Upload is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Access to the path "C:\DotNetNuke\Portals\_default\Skins\skins\xpix" is denied. ---> System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path "C:\DotNetNuke\Portals\_default\Skins\skins\xpix" is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String str) at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path) at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.SkinController.UploadSkin(String RootPath, String SkinRoot, String SkinName, Stream objInputStream) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.FileSystem.WebUpload.cmdUpload_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

i checked the permission to upload skin under host -> host setting ->Advanced -> other settings -> Skin Upload Permission - HOST and updated this setting
still it is not allowing me to upload that skin.

What do i need to do to upload this skin. I have not tried it from my hosting provider, they might have this permission enabled but i dont want to disturb my layout till i will make clear everything in my local pc to see the things.

Please help me out in this

Thanks & Regards

Basheer

in File system, you need to grant Create folder permission for user "Network Service" (or "ASPNET" on Windows XP) on installation directory witha ll subfolders.
