I am trying to move DNN from hosted server to my own servers. I got the files copied and also I got the sql setup.

2 problems

My sql is different server then my DNN files and ISS. So in web.config I got this

    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=X.X.X.X ;Database=MyDataBase;User ID=MyUser;Password=MyPass" />

is this correct?

Also 2nd problem is

I think that SQL works because now it's redirecting to my old site but I don't know why?

Where can I look for that setting? I can think that it's somewhere in DB but I can't find which table

connection string looks ok, you can identify SQL server ("dataSource=...") by IP or Server name, eventually instance needs to be added, e.g. \SQLExpress.

you need to add the new address as portal alias - either from Host :: Portals before transferring or directly in database, table PortalAlias.

I changed the PortalAlisa in DB and I get :

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
*   This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept

I don't Know what to do next, Now in that PortalAlias I have 3 rows  1st row is IP of current page 2nd row is www.domainname.com 3rd row is an Ip also of the old server.

It sounds like your portal alias isn't correct for your site.  I would ensure that you have IIS configured correctly to serve based on the address you entered into the portal alias...
