Hi,

I builded a web site with DNN 4.5.3.

It runs fine without problems.

I had not a domain and the portal alias of the website is set to the IPNumber of the webServer. When I call the default page in the browser I write on the address bar the IPNumber.

Now I have a domain like www.myname.com and I want to ask to the ISP to point the domain name to the webServer.

Must I to add another portal alias with the domain name in the host setting?

Thank You for the answer.

Yes, login as a host and add the domain name as the new alias.  Then, return to the site using the domain name, and login as a host again to remove the IP number alias.  You can do this in the Site Settings.
