I'm looking to get a better understanding of the sitelog so I can easily explain the usage stats in the sitelog reports. First off, when someone asks how many "hits" does the site get, do I tell them to look at the visitors column or the views column. Are the two related? Using the page views by day example below should it be interpreted that 104 people viewed the site 12328 times today? Is this counting module postbacks as a view as well?

Date Views Visitors Users
2007.12.10 12624 106 12
2007.12.09 7964 79 1
2007.12.08 10915 99 0
2007.12.07 20091 188 25
2007.12.06 20424 214 28
2007.12.05 19349 191 20
2007.12.04 21680 203 29

Also, is the number in the views column the same as the number of requests in the Page Views by Day report below (not the same actual number but meant to be interpreted the same):

Page Requests LastRequest
Home 82148 12/10/2007 12:56:00 PM

I'm just looking to get some solid numbers so I can make informed decisions. If there are other, more accurate solutions out there please advise.

Thanks!
