Ok all I want to do is modify the events module editEvent.ascx page and create a new button on it.

I want to leave the original Events module in tact.

So I have copied the Events module ot a new fodler called "EventsCustom"

Now I have replaced all the files with the Soruce files downloaded from the events project page.

I now can see the ode behind. However if I edit the code behind add the custom module to a page then try to use my newly created button
a postback happens but the code I wrote is not executed. I assume it is because it is still using the codebehind that is compiled in the original file

I thought just removing the Modules.Events.dll File would work cause all the source files are there but I was very wrong removing that dll gives a ton of errors.

So how do I tell the application to use my modified code behind file with my new button code?
