It's very clear that these forums are not for commerical purposes, but, I'm trying to find a DNN developer to work on my son's school website. Is there a place where I could post this?

There are a few places available like dnnGuru.com.

Also I would be interested in talking to you about your needs, feel free to e-mail me at mitchel.sellers@gmail.com  There are links in my signature to both my business and personal sites as well.

The directory (link at top of page) has a list but it's pretty poor and doesn't include many big-name developers.  Google does surprisingly well at finding these though.

What about creating a simple skin? I'm sure I could figure it out, but with my timing I'm wondering if it makes sense to hire out the template portion to get this done. For a simple design, can anyone give me an idea of what it would cost to create a DNN ready skin?

TIA - Tony
