I just attempted to perform an upgrade of my blog module.

Upgraded from version - not sure. I've not upgraded it since I upgraded DNN to version 3.1.1, so whatever the version at that point was. Wish now I'd made a note of that.
Blog module version: 03.03.01
DNN Version: 3.1.1

No errors were reporting during the module upload.

You might need to upgrade to a newer version of DNN. Perhaps 3.3.7 is an option for you?
