I hope that someone can help me with this problem. I just installed DNN on a GoDaddy hosted website. Everything seems to be working well, except for the fact that I can't manage event categories or locations. The online manual tells me to "select Edit Categories from the Events module menu." But I can't find that ability anywhere. The same is true for managing locations. In both cases, I have signed on using my superuser and admin logins...still nothing. I checked the module settings on the host admin panel and both executables for managing event categories and locations appear to be installed.

If someone can help me figure out what I or the program is doing wrong, I would be eternally grateful.

Do you mean that you can't find the module menu, or that the menu does not contain the Edit Locations / Edit Categories items?

  • To open the module action menu, hover over the little arrow left to the module title.
  • If the menu doesn't contain the appropriate Edit items, then check the version of your Events module (in the main menu under Host / Module Definitions). In Events version 3.3.8, the Edit items should be in the module action menu, but maybe in earlier versions editing was handled differently - can't remember exactly :-(
