Hello,

I just downloaded the Repository_3.1.14.25650_Source.zip.  I noticed the solution file was VS2003 and a note that the source was .net 1.1 only.

How do you work with this source?  In VS2003 with the DNN3.37 codebase?  (I recall setting up 3.37 you create the website in IIS, create the SQL database, granting permissions for the asp worker process, put the connection string in the web.config)

This is the first way that comes to mind, is there a easier or better way, or way to use the 4.7 codebase?  (maybe I missed a post in this forum)

Also I'm guessing the repository 4.0 will be VS2005, how long before we might see that release?

thanks =D

Personally, I took one of the releases of the Repository and converted it to 4.5.* for my own needs. Upgrading from VS2k3 to VS2k5 isn't too hard (assuming you have SP1 for 2k5.

Both you are Chris are correct. The current Repository module is a .net 1.1 module (VS2003, DNN 3.3 or greater), however it shouldn't be too difficult to convert to .net 2.0 (I believe it would take a couple of hours to clean up namespace and reference issues, plus there are some DNN api calls that have to be changed when moving from DNN 3.X to 4.X )

An early beta of the .net 2.0 verison of the Repository module (4.00.00) should be available sometime in late January, which will be much more than a conversion of the current module, it is a complete re-design/re-write of the module. See other posts and my blog for more information.
