Hi

I wonder if anyone can help with my problem.

I am new to DotNetNuke and trying to learn how to add a new module to the Starterkit. I followed Michael Washington's Userguide part 1 to add the 'Survey' module. . Everything seemed to go ok until when I tried to add an instance of the module to a page from the Control Panel. The problem was the instance did not show in the page and no error message either, although the page seemed to postback.

I also tried with the 'Guest Book' and had the same problem.  Have I missed some important settings?

Thank you in advance.

Van

When you look in the logs (admin/event viewer) do you see any errors? What version of DotNetNuke are you using?

Hi Michael

Thanks for responding to my post. I looked in the event log as suggested, but could not find any errors related to this event. I am using DotNetNuke version 4.7.0.0.

Regards

Van

It could be a bad module definition, perhaps you have a typo in the working folder setting.

Thanks Michael.

You are right. The problem was just due to a bad module definition.  I did not specify the Controller Class, and other control files.
