After upgrading from a functional 4.3.7 installation, DNN could no longer access any of the files stored in the Portals/0 directory. If I log in as host, and go to Admin>File Manager, I get the error below (for instance). If I go to Host>File Manager, I can see the Portals/_default folder just fine. If I try to access a file for download, I get various messages to do with "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

I am getting no information in error messages that point me to a particular folder. I have seen posts elsewhere suggesting that a folder or file might be throwing DNN off. There is usually some advice to look in the database to see if a folder has the wrong permissions or something. But when I open the db in Studio Express, I can't figure out where to see a listing of my folders, let alone see what the problem might be.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.

This other thread seems to be addressing the issue:
