I have the same error.  It seems that ApplicationMapPath should be set to something, but when I looked in the code I could not see it getting called (an Init routine should initialize it, but it's not called).  I'm considering trying 4.7 instead...  I've also had a lot of problems on the www.dotnetnuke.com site not working correctly.

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Same problem here with clean install of 4.8.0 (which I believe is not an RC2 version, but the final version).

Upgrade from 4.7.0 to 4.8.0 does not have this problem, only the clean install.

Please help us solve this as it's not easy to install 4.7 and upgrade it.

Thanks.

Anybody find a fix for this yet? This seems like a big issue to me!!!! I needed to set up a new production site and was surprised how bad this install went...

Thanks

Hey There,
The answer is that you can't use dnn 4.8 and the Active Directory Authenitcation provider.
So either don't install it or stay with 4.7 till the problem is sorted out.
Details can be found here:
