Hi,

Sorry if this has been covered, but I did not find it. When users post to the forum, the skin changes to the default DNN admin skin. It also happens when we click on the users profile. Is there a setting for this.
Thanks,

Rich

Hi Rich, that occurs when modules are loaded using ctl=[controlname]. Make sure your admin skin is set in your site settings.

Hi Rich,

Thanks for the reply. We did this, but it's less than an ideal solution, if you are using a horizontal menu. This makes the administration cumbersome as there are often additional pages in the admin area which causes a left/right scroll bar when inside the admin. Even simple proofing / text edits are more difficult  then they need to be due to scrolling. This is one reason im not a big fan of horizontal menus in DNN.

I too would agree that this is an issue with the way that skin selection is done.

One thing I have done in the past is to use CSS NavMenu for my menus.  This allows me to move the admin/host menus off to a "drop down list" selection rather than added to the horizontal menu.  This has made my life easier.
