Hi there,

I noticed that version 4.4.2 is shipped with dotnetnuke 4.8.0.

As such this is not a problem except for the fact that it stopped working.
Only after a rollback to version 4.4.1, the feedback module worked again.

Version 4.4.2 is, as far as I know, not officially released, maybe because of the problems I experienced.

These problems where:
- target email address is not shown in setting screen
- sending an email gives a typecast error

With kind regards,

GW

I'll take a look right now and see whether I can figure out what's going on. I know that it was tested against 4.7.0 and it worked fine...
Can you confirm that you've setup all the settings needed in the settings page for the module?

There where two problems:

- The first problem is that the setting dialog did not behave as expected. The "Send To" data was saved to the database but was not shown when the setting dialog was opened for the 2nd time. All other items seam to work correctly.

- The second problem is that sending an email failed:

Input string was not in a correct format.

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Input string was not in a correct format. ---> System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at System.Number.StringToNumber(String str, NumberStyles options, NumberBuffer& number, NumberFormatInfo info, Boolean parseDecimal) at System.Number.ParseInt32(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Feedback.Feedback.cmdSend_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Hope this helpes,

GW

Any resolution to this?  I would like to upgrade to DNN 4.8, but not if it breaks the Feedback module.  But I am also looking forward to some of the bug fixes that were expected in 4.4.2.

Gary - sorry for not responding on this thread yet - I just completed testing 4.4.2 (of feedback) on a clean DNN 4.8.0 site and it appears to work without throwing any of the errors being reported. Additionally I had earlier testing installing 4.4.1 and upgrading it to 4.4.2 on a clean 4.8.0 site and that didn't throw any errors either.

Geurt - could you please provide some more information as to what you're doing that might be causing the error to happen? Maybe you had a list setup incorrectly or something along those lines?

Sanjay
