I am using xml file for navigation in my dotnetnuke web site. content of this xml file is given below.  This is something i found from webcontrols.dotnetnuke.com web site. Now my question is , is it possible to use xml file this way to navigate within a dnn web site . I am using dnn version 4.6.2 .  I notice that in default.aspx page one can specify the tabname to navigate from one tab to another but there is no way to move from one page to another page without the help of navigateurl method.

thanks

DotNetNuke menus use to take their navigation directly from the database, where the site structure is stored and take into account users' permissions, i.e. you will not have to take care for any additional structure like your XML file.

I found this xml menu navigation style from http://webcontrols.dotnetnuke.com web site. This style of navigation through xml file is used within sample webcontrol version 2.0 application.

I am trying to create a navigation menu for my web application and i am not sure what would be the best way to do it. One way is to implement dnn <nav> menu but it has it's limitation.

Instead of using text for menu items i want to use images and I also wants to replace image for any single item on the menu with different image on hoverover event. I believe this is not possible with dnn nav control or is it possible ?

If this is possible with nav clt or any other way i would appreciate if you could also give me an example or link to online tutorial where this is done.

thanks for your reply
