Hi

I'm doing an a new installation of 4.8 on XP with MS SQL Server. I set the Object Qualifier to dnn and I use Integrated Security. I open the website as a file system in MS 2005 and start the debugger. When it comes to installing the database scripts it just shows the progress bar moving indefinitly. I check the database and se that 2 tables have been created - dnn_version and dnnversion. If I close the explorer and start the installation again it now tells me that my object qualifier is dnn_ which is an underscore different from what I entered - this must be an error ! - the installation still fails - anyone knows why the installation fail´s.

Thanks

Paul S

Try using these settings in your web.config file:

    < add key="AutoUpgrade" value="false" / >
    < add key="UseInstallWizard" value="false" / >

Then, browse to install/install.aspx in your web site.  Start with a clean database, too.

Hi Joe

It works - thanks a lot.

Out of curiosity - do you know what made the other installation fail ?
