Just upgraded to DNN4.7 on ASP.NET 2.0 from my old DNN3.2.2 on 1.1 and I'm having some issues right now.  I was trying to kickstart one of the scheduled items in the scheduler that got stuck and everytime I tried to change something it would take awhile and then I'd get a "Sys.Webforms.PageRequestmanagerTmeoutException: the Server request timed out" message.  The changes seemed to take (scheduler items showing disabled, catchup set to false, etc) after this message.

So I went to Host settings and disabled the scheduler and hit update.  Figured I'd disable everything and then bring it back up after restarting the application.  Now I get a server error and can't get into my site (I pay for shared hosting).

I've asked my host for help but have to hear back.  Anyone have any clues?  Thanks in advance for the help.

I also selected DEFLATE in the host settings and took the caching to no caching before I clicked that fateful "update" and then got the error.

My host says it was throwing this error:

Multiple controls with the same ID 'ScriptManager' were found. FindControl requires that controls have unique IDs

Not sure why.  I've restored the database to last night and will re-trace my steps.

Try forcing a restart of the application by adding a space to the web.config in a non critical section.  Otherwise, you can forcefully disable AJAX which might help.

Apparently it's a common error with DNN 4.7 and I added a post about it in the bug tracker.
