Hi,

today I've upgraded from DNN 4.5.5 to 4.8.0 and I have got the same error: Could not find file 'c:\DotNetNuke.config'...

I uploaded the new version via FTP to the same directory (c:\web_site) as the old version... What is the solution to this problem?????

Thankfully I've backuped old version - I've downgraded again to 4.5.5 and it works again. I won't touch again with any new version of DNN... I have bad feeling..

If works then don't touch - rule #1.

I had a very similar problem.  While I have not yet looked at the new 4.8.0 code to see what is changed to cause the issue, using the included web.config from the DNN 4.8 release zip seems to have fixed the issue.

I had the exact same problem. Solved it by using the web.config from the full install version of Dotnetnuke 4.8.0.

I solved it by reloading my dotnetnuke.config from back up and it took it after that. Not sure what was going on...
