I was carefully following a video at DNNCreative regarding upgrades while I was upgrading a site from 4.04 to 4.07.  It didn't work.

Fortunately I had backed up the entire website and am now back to using my 4.04 version.  As a DNN user (and fan) for some time I do find that one thing lacking on this site is a clear and understandable explanatiion of upgrades.  When?  How? and What to do.

I am sure that DNN has simplified the upgrade process as the versions grow higher, but the LACK of discussion is intimidating.

I am wondering what is the best practice for upgrading - and does the upgrading process change as we get into the 4.+ versions?  I seem to find alot on upgrading from versions 2.+ and 3.+ but hardly any discussion or explanation of upgrades within the 4.+ range.

I am going to try another upgrade as soon as I can get some feedback.

Cheers.
