I have configured a website and added the backend module from another website. but now the website is realy slow. am using SQL and DNN .3.2.2 with ASP 1.1

Any idea why?

samhil,

It would help to know more about your environment and website to narrow down what is causing slowness for your site.  What kind of server are you running this site on? Do you have any other sites running on the server - are they slow? Have you checked your server to how much of its resources (processor, memory) are in use while you are running the site(s)?

Hi Ian,

Thanks for u r reply. We are using IIS 6.0 in windows 2003 Standared Edition. We got more that 10 website and all these web sites are running without any problem. I have checked the CPU usage and its showing high usage when we browse the website which is slow. Hope u have a better idea now.

You're welcome -- thanks for the information. Are the other sites you have running all web applications (such as DNN) or do they house static content? Would you mind sharing the specs of your server (processory, memory)? If the other sites are all running smoothly and doing a fair amount of server side processing, that would seem to indicate that your web site itself is having issues. Although if they are all static html sites, it may indicate that your server needs more resources to handle the workload effectively.

Hi Ian,

All the web sites are running in DNN and all other website are not eating up the resources. Only this one is taking high resources. My server is 2.4Ghz with 1 GB ram

Now i think there is some problem with the web site. but we have copied the modules from another website which is working fine(still working fine in the same server).

pls help
