Unfortunately for the second time now CrystalTech have disabled our database (Shared SQL Server) and will not renable it until the database is corrected.

For some reason the scheduler does run several errors which apparently overload the server.

We have been given a backup of the database so we could run it on our own server using SQL Express, but not had any luck as yet getting DNN to connect to the database (localhost/127.0.0.1 seems not to work as database name and user settings are all correct).

What table/setting within this database itself needs to be changed to stop the scheduler so we can have CrystalTech renable our database?

Thanks

David,

I believe you are looking for the "Enabled" column on the "Schedule" table.

If you wanted to turn off all scheduled tasks (which may not be a good thing....) you would execute "update schedule set enabled = 0" (it's a bit field).

hope that helps,

Ian

Hi Ian

Thanks for that. I only just realised I had a reply... DNNs own forum notifications don't seem to work a lot.

I have stopped it, I understand it is not ideal but until I can find out what the problem is it is better than having the database just taken offline!

Cheers

David
