Hi,

I am working on a new module that has an edit page with the FCK editor (core TextEditor control). As soon as I turn on "Supportspartialrendering" in the mdoule defintions, the editor stops working correctly. Whenever you switch between HTML and Text it looses the text, and when you save the output is blank if you are in RICH mode. I think it is a Viewstate/AJAX issue - is this a known issue? The temporary solution is to turn off  "Supportspartialrendering" but obviously this is not ideal. I hope this is the right place to post this (I assume it is a FCK editor problem).

thanks
Rodney

ps. I'm actually "rodneyjoyce" from Smart-Thinker.com but I have not been able to post on these Forums for the last 2 months due to the "New Post" bug (hence the silence)

Thanks,

Rodney

It is a well know issue with FCKeditor and ajax. The new version of the provider will be ready at the end of this month

The current workaround is to exclude your submit button from the async callback

How about the new Provider Version? Will it come soon? I have the "can't edit Biography in User Profile" Problem Rodney describes in this post:
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/127/threadid/196958/scope/posts/threadpage/2/Default.aspx

The "solution" shown at Gemini (http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?ID=6984&PROJID=2) does not work for me, because in several Portals I need the AJAX for a couple of Modules. I was hoping this would be fixed in the new DNN 4.8.1, but the Problem still exists. I just tested this in two updated portals.
Is there any other solution to fix this for the moment?

Greetings from Germany,
Stephan Schneider
