Hi All,

I'm using Open Smart module 2.0.PA from XepientSolutions together with DNN 4.8.0. I have created a custom user control, this control uses a resource file to store different languages. Generally in .NET 2.0 as long as the resource files name is the same as the controls and it is placed in the correct App_LocalResource directory .NET will handle the localization based on the IE settings. This works fine in VS2005. However when I load the .ascx file to using OpenSmart the control doesnt seem to touch the resource file.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the help.

DotNetNuke has its own localization framework, please read the localization whitepaper and the Module Developer's Localization Guide, available for download from Documentation page in Resources menu above.

Hi,

thanks for your reply. I've read the documentation and it did not help me. I was wondering if there is an issue with regards to this specific module and using resource files.

Thanks for any help.

Regards

Have you tried contacting Xepient about this?
