Finally got it solved by looking at free dnn skin andreas01.  portal\_default\skins\UNBlue\skin.css - class .pagemaster  - background: transparent url(bodybg.gif) top center repeat-x; .  Apparently it doesnt like the background-* functions.  I definitely have a caching issue (about 15 to 20 minutes) for css files modified outside of dnn (via notepad), not ie, disabled ISA caching and that didn't help, has to be in DNN.  Host setting>No cache and clear cache no help either.  I'll post in "configure it" unless you have the quick answer.  AGAIN, THANKS FOR EVERYONES HELP WITH THIS MATTER.  When I get my site done, I'm going to create a .css/.ascx "map" as my contribution to this great community!  Steve

Hmm, I never experienced a caching problem like that.

There is one thing I know of, if you parse a skin named "myskin" without myskin.css and you add this file later, DNN doesn't render a link to the CSS file until you reparse the skin

Did I do something wrong or do i need to do something further.  I can't post a new thread, I get - An error has occurred. Error:Add/Edit Post is currently unavailable.

Or is it really unavailable?

This sometimes happens to forums you subscribed to (we have it too), mostly it can be solved by unsubscribing and then resubscribing to the forum.

I'm not a forum admin, only moderator but if that doesn't help please post again here.
