I use the hosting provider Easy CGI.  They have an automated script that installs DNN; however, it installs DNN in a directory under the root (directory is called DNN).  I then have to do redirects in my root directory to get folks to my DNN portal.  Does anyone know how I can move the DNN installation to the root of my website provided by my host.

Hello there, i am using Easy CGI and Godaddy both as hosting provider. And i have created some tutorials for Godaddy. And one of these for moving dnn instance from subfolder to root path. I think process will be similar for Easy CGI too since i have used that before.

Well, I guess I'm a little disappointed.  Here we have DNN as an open source free CMS product, and you want me to pay to learn how to do the above.  I'm disappointed in that this isn't following the spirti of the DNN community.  I guess I'll figure it out on my own.

Did you ask EasyCGI.com for help?  It's their system and script after all.

You could do this as easily as a redirect file in your root, or if EasyCGI allows it you can repoint your root to the subfolder.  If you just need an installation in the root, remove your DNN and kill the database, create a new database and upload the install files to the root, then install new, without their script.

First, I don't see a request for paying (registration on Ismet's site is free), but if you request induvidual coaching, you will have to pay the resources you occupy - I don't see a discrepance with OS principle.
