Hello, this should be an easy question (and if it is one that is answered a lot, I apologize)

Looking at the downloads section,  you are able to download the latest 4.8, 4.7, and 4.6 releases.  I understand why you pick a 3.x install (you may be working with legacy code) but if I am doing a clean install, is there any reason to pick one 4.x verison over the other?  I would assume that 4.8 is the best, but is 4.6 for example more stable?

Thanks!

I don't think you will find anyone saying the either version (4.06.02 or 4.08.00) is more stable than the other.  However, there are many enhancements in performance and additional features that 4.08.00 will have and 4.06.02 will not.

Also, I would not suggest installing anything earlier than 4.06.02.

I forgot to note Chris Hammond's blog on the this most current release (4.8.0).  It contains a listing of the updates that were made just between 4.7.0 and 4.8.0.

There have a number of bugs fixed in latest version, so if you like bugs, take a previous one!

Thanks for the info guys... I was just trying to figure out why there are multiple versions on the downloads page.

Onward to 4.8.0!
