Afternoon All...

I purchased the NavigationSuite a couple of days ago off snowcovered, and was quite pleased with my progress when I was able to integrate it into a skin (which I had hacked up the day before on my third attempt) to replace the normal menu structure. I am using HorizonTab6_hover as my style, although it's not exactly what I want, it's close enough for my boss.

But, today, I noticed a couple of odd behaviors which have me scratching my head.  Mind you, I'm really new to DNN (less than 2 weeks experience) and I'm also coming back to web design after 5 years in desktop app development, so I'm relatively clueless at the moment.

1.) The admin and host menus are visible, even if no user is logged in, or if the user doesn't have admin priviledges. That's not to say that the items within are accessible, but the menu items shouldn't even be showing up. I have also noticed that the mouseover change of the graphic is not occuring in this instance either.

2.) When I AM logged in as the host, the menu is not expanding for the host\admin menus the same way it behaves for the other menu options. Instead, I am getting BOTH the veritical dropdown of the menu, as well as the horizontal menu expansion on the next 'row' down.

It should also be noted that when I am not logged in, and the Host\Admin menu items are showing up when they shouldn't be, that I am NOT getting the horizontal expansion, but am still getting the veritical dropdown, although it then prompts me for a login when I click on one of the items.

I'm also hoping to get the second level of the menu to display centered underneath of the primary level, instead of being way off to the left hand side of the screen.  I believe this should be controlled by a CSS setting someplace, but am not sure where.

Thanks in advance,
Brian

This all sounds like things you should look for in the documentation of the NavSuite skin object.  Unforunately, after a quick search, I did not find any formal documentation available online.  Therefore, it might be best to start with the help desk on Snowcovered.  Just navigate to the same package of this product on the snowcovered web site, and then click on the Help Desk link to submit your questions.

*nods*  I looked for documentation for the product as well, and had about the same luck as you.

I will take your advice regarding the snowcovered help desk.  I've already posted on the forum that the developer has, but no response there as of yet.

Thanks,

Ice

At least with the Snowcovered Help Desk, you have the ability to give feedback for others to see.  If nothing else, we will all learn how much this vendor cares about their customers.
