Ok, did the heading get your attention? Here is my story. I have a a forum website, which I started as an extracurricular activity so I have no interest in babysitting (moderating) it. So, I have this one guy who leaves porn (beastiallity, gay, scat) on my forum. They are links and pictures. He is also using proxy server to do it, so he comes back from a new IP address. I have banned all his IP addresses so far, but it's useless. I have banned his user names but he comes back with a new username. So I want to know how to screw this guy. I want to send him a virus or script that will screw his computer. He uses the same proxy server to spam until I ban it, so I was thinking to redirect him or make him download a file/script through the host settings (filter settings). I just want to do something to him very bad. Can I do it? Can someone tell me about a script/file and how to make him download it as soon as he clicks my website.

Thanks

Youy can't.  First, it's illegal in many areas, but more importantly, you don't want it to escalate.  Configure for registered users to post, report him to his ISP and moderate.

I completely sympathize, but Jeff is exactly right.  People often inquire why dotnetnuke.com does not permit unmoderated posting... same reasons.  It is a shame that it only takes a very few folk in this world to inconvenience everyone else.  But it's why we have airport security, CAPTCHA... and moderation :(

Take heart.

I agree with everyone else.   If Scott hadn't already suggested it, I would have suggested that you implement CAPTCHA (for login and registration).  While this is a minor inconvenience to you and your other users at first, it will certainly inconvenience most spammers like this.  You are best off waiting it out and just keep cleaning up the mess.

Another thing you can do is filter the HTML and replace it, or perhaps disable (HTML Encode) all HTML for a while until this person gets bored and moves on to another site.

This is much like dealing with a class clown.  Do not give them the attention.

I just want to know whether I can send a script or make him download a virus to screw his computer through the redirect function of filter settings available in the host settings. Can it be done? Or, can anyone please direct me to a website where I can get some help/information. Thanks.
