I just tried to upload a file, the largest yet, @4.5mb and this kindly gave me a runtime error that put my portal out for about 5 minutes. I want to use this module in a community fashion so users can upload content, but if they are going to be able to crash my portal with a large file size upload...that doesnt seem too smart... Am I missing a max file size setting or some sort of control to handle this?

regards,

Mark Hollas

yes, it's a web.config asp.net setting. You need to update your maxRequestLength, and depending on file size and upload speed expected possibly executionTimeout (see http://www.websupergoo.com/helpupload50/source/2-tech_notes/3-web.config.htm for examples of both)

I'm guessing that somehow when posting a message to this forum you failed to notice the pinned post at the top :)
