E-commerce Simplified -- Active Modules Announces Release of Active Purchase

Charleston, SC (PRWEB) January 15, 2008 -- Active Modules, Inc. officially announced the release of Active Purchase, a completely customizable Web site module that provides on-line communities and small businesses with an easy way for customers to purchase products from their Web site.

"We were excited when we heard that Active Modules was releasing a new module to handle PayPal and credit card transactions," says Jeff Smith of Venexus, Inc., . "When compared to other solutions in the market, Active Purchase greatly simplifies managing products, orders and customers."

Active Purchase includes many custom options for the checkout process while also providing customer management tools, statistical reports and product performance tracking. Key features include:

  • Order History
  • Discounts and Coupons
  • Invoice Creation
  • Custom Wizard Steps
  • Dedicated Support

Active Purchase requires DotNetNuke, a free Web application framework ideal for creating and deploying commercial websites, corporate intranets and extranets, online publishing portals and custom vertical applications.

"We are excited not only for ourselves, but also for our clients because Active Purchase is a low overhead, simple interface, eCommerce module for DotNetNuke that does exactly what we and most businesses need," adds Smith.

"I think this module is the most lightweight and flexible ecommerce solution for DotNetNuke. My colleagues and I were impressed by how effortless product selling can be when using Active Purchase," says Philipp Becker of dnnWerk, a German internet consulting firm. "It's user friendly, easy to setup and intuitive to use from the buyer's perspective."

Headquartered in Charleston, S.C., Active Modules, Inc. is a software development company offering custom solutions focused around DotNetNuke and the Microsoft .NET Framework. Will,

Is this module a complete e-commerce solution?  We want a simple to use, inexpensive module that will allow our car club to sell a few shirts, hats, and the like, as well as allow members to pay their membership.  We use Paypal only.  We need to have attributes for the products (size, color, etc).
