Whenever I add a form to an HTML module it breaks the page.

Usually the content pane ends up under the footer.

Ugh.

since DotNetNuke is an ASP.NET application, and already has a form element on the page, it is not possible to add a form element in a text/html module (as this would create a nested form on the page, and this is not allowed in html). If you want to create a custom form, you can either write your own module, or use one of the many available custom forms modules

Fair enough.

Is there any reason that I can not simply add the form elements into the HTML module without the form tag?

Thanks!

I am guessing not, as I am thinking now, how would the action etc ... be handled???

Ugh. Ok then. If I do build it into a module (C'mon guys, I just got the skinning down ...), it will act as if it is a new page?

Thanks again ...

modules are not pages, but content elements on pages. You could see a module as a "standalone" application running inside a page

Again, there are a lot of forms modules out there, that might fit your needs

What is it you want to do anyway?

The usual ... Contact forms, feedback etc ... Textboxes, checkboxes, radio button groups and the like ... Completed form e-mailed to selected recipients. It would be nice to store records in a database.
