Hi there,

I am developing a DNN site for a client and need to create a page where the client's customers can fill out a form to request a custom product.

I have investigated a couple of modules including Enterprise Forms but they seem fairly pricey and advanced for what I need.

Obviously I could look into having the forms put in with HTML and some sort of simple ASP code to send data to a database and then have another page to retrieve the data and present it, but I'm not really that savvy a programmer so that is not an idea solution for me.

Am I missing something?  Is there a simple form tool built into DNN?

Thanks in advance!

Chris

Have you considered the core Feedback module?

Hi Chris:

I feel your pain. Unfortunately there is no basic form module included with DNN. As a matter of fact, you can't even just simply build a form using the basic text/html module. I used Dreamweaver to create a custom form to collect info from site visitors and placed it in the text/html mod and could not get it to work. In the forum I found out that the only module that would take it was the IFrame. So that's what I did. In your case I would suggest you look through this list and find a form module that offers what you need. I don't think you need to pay more than about $50 for a good one, like Form Master 1.6, or that new one Onyaktek (H2O) (no listing yet). There's a wide choice take a look:

Unfortunately, the link I posted doesn't work. Just type in "Form" and click go/search at the top. Good luck.
