we are going to develop an webapplication  product in .net.around 1 lac users will use this application.

This product must be very secured.So plese let me know which authentication can i used either Forms authentication or windows authentication.

Windows authentication is the most secure option availble for websites hosted by IIS.  The only drawback is that all of your users must be Windows users in order to use the website.  If that is the situation, Windows authentication is your best bet.  However, if you need users who aren't in your Active Directory to access the secured part of your site, you will need to use Forms Authentication, which is still reasonably secure.
