Hey, happy new year,

How've you been?

I transfered my DNN site (arodrive.com) to my new server and ran into to:

Server Application Unavailable

The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable.  Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your request.

Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause of this specific request failure can be found in the application event log of the web server. Please review this log entry to discover what caused this error to occur.

 Can you please help.

 Edgar

Edgar,

I'd like to provide you with some more information about the event viewer on your server -- see Windows Server 2003 in a Managed Environment: Event Viewer. This may allow you to discover the real error message. If you do locate a more detailed error message and are still having trouble resolving the issue - please post it here.

What may also be helpful through the course of troubleshooting this issue is to make the following change to your web.config file.  (You will want to change this back  whenever you are done troubleshooting.)

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

In the mean time, what version of DotNetNuke are you running? What steps did you take when you moved to production server? Did you set up the virtual directory, give file system permissions to the ASP.NET or Network Service user, create a new database user, make the appropriate changes to the SiteSqlServer key in your web.config?

Take care,

Ian
