The web farm documentation refers to a CachingProvider which is to be found in the location “$root\Providers\CachingProviders\BroadcastPollingCachingProvider\Providers\SQLDataProvider\ 03.01.00.SqlDataProvider”

The problem is that the file dosnt exist, in actual fact there is no folder called CachingProviders.

Does anyone know where I can find or get access to the file? thats assuming that is required in DNN 4.06.03?? (the documentaiton is out of date ann incorrect)

Any help would be appreciated as DNN requires this file to replicate in a server farm using the alternat method.

thanks

Hmm,, no it dosnt.  certinaly not in the location that the documentation says..  As I stated in my last post there is not floder called casheingProvider.

There is

  • DataProviders/SQLDataProvider/

  • LoggingProviders

but no CachingProvider...as in the documentation.

Does anyone know where to find the provider that in refered to in the documentation??

In the root of the DNN Source there is a folder call "Library".  Use this as your root in the path above.

Library/Providers\CachingProviders\BroadcastPollingCachingProvider\Providers\SQLDataProvider\ 03.01.00.SqlDataProvider

Also, I have my own question.  Do I want to set up the BroadcastPollingCachingProvider scheduled task to run on a single web server, or on all web servers?

Hello Rick,

Did you ever get an answer about where teh BroadcastPollingCachingProvider needs to run - single server or all?
