I'm having a wierd issue and not sure what to do about it. I've installed DNN probably a dozen times without any issue. This isn't a permissions problem. I think it might be an http handler issue. I'm using the development.config and renaming to web.config. I've copied over the files and have the correct permission on the database and on the folder (this is also verified by the permissions check in the install wizard). Yes, I did say the install wizard comes up. BUT what is different is that no images show up, i.e. DNN logo for install page. If i put in the url (http://localhost/DotNetNuke/Install/logo.gif) for the dnn install logo into my web browser i get the error "Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.dnn_GetHostSettings'."

If i would continue through the rest of the wizard I make it all the way to the DB install (where you see the db install progress) but a javascript error happens and nothing gets installed but the dnn_Version table.

Does anyone know what is going on?

Same here - tons of prior successful DNN version installs - attempting 4.8.0  get no logo or button images in setup, and hangs at the Run Database Install Scripts step - javascript error on the page as well.

I notice that the Versions table and FindDatabaseVersion, GetDatabaseVersion and UpdateDatabaseVersion stored procedures are created before it hangs.

Anybody experience this and get past it?

Getting the same on the db scripts screen of the installation.

Using:
VS2008
SQL2008
Win2008
IE7

VS Addon Installed no errors
SQL installation no errors
Win2008 Also no errors/logs/signs of  problems,

I have tested the platform/installations using the source of an existing dnn instance from another machine and the its database (also on another machine), and it works fine. I just seem to be unable to get past the db installation phase.

Anyone who can help with this i would appreciate it.

Matt
