This may be a dumb question but I haven't found anything useful searching in the forums so far....

I have a site where we need to track all downloads of a file (an MP3). The file can be accessed in three ways - either by a direct link, by being streamed via a Flash player, or by being pushed by an RSS feed. Is the ability to count the number of file downloads included in a 'base' DNN site, if so how do we access the information (I would guess in the file table but can't see anything there)? If it can't be done without adding some sort of tracking module can anyone recommend a good one?

TIA,

Graham

The URL tracking feature can handle that, but the file has to be flagged as being tracked.  I don't think it would be able to track the flas player plays....but otherwise it could be done.

You could start by putting the file in say the Documents module and set the "Track clicks" option.
