Hi,

I have a development site of DNN on my computer.

When i copy the website to the production server, it works fine. But i didn't want to copy the source code files (.vb or.cs).

So i published the webiste (using Visual Studio 2005: Build > Publish Web Site) to a directory on my computer to compile the files and create the .dll libraries.

But if i copy the published site to the production server, it doesn't work. I am aware of how i can compile my modules individually and install them without providing the source code of those modules, but i wanted to compile the entire website.

Is it possible / how can i do it?

Thank you for your time.

Tiago Costa.

No.

I only made two changes in web.config:

1) Changing the connection string in two places to install DNN.

2) Adding the directory name in the code subdirectories of my module because i created it in C#.

Am i suppose to make more changes in the web.config to publish it? What should i change?
