I have a client who wants to setup a blog as if it was being done in the past and am running into two problems.

The first problem is the DotNetNuke Blog module refuses to accept any dates prior to 1/1/1753. Is there anyway around this?

The second problem is that even when I backdate the entry to something post 1753, the entry is still entered in at the current time, ie. 1/25/2008. I'm not sure what's going on.

Any help would be appreciated, and if you have a suggestion for a different blog module I'd love to hear it as well
.

Thanks,
Jason

Lol, I guess from a marketing perspective doing a date earlier than 1753 could be funny. The reason you can't provide one earlier than that is that the Datetime type in SQL doesn't go any earlier

You might be able to go into the database and change the dates manually so that they store correctly, but I don't believe you'll be able to set them prior to 1753 without changing the field to a nvarchar, which would require code changes as well.

Keep Chris' comments about the data type limitation in mind, here is how to fix the date problem:

However, it does not address the limitation of the DATETIME data type.
