Hi

Apologies if this is the wrong forum but ...

Does anyone have any experience with compiling ver 4.8 using Framework 3.5?

Thank you

Yes it works fine. You may get a message like this:

Click Yes or no and it will work either way. To use LInq to SQL you need to click yes.

Is there a way to manually force this upgrade prompt?

I've now got VS2008 running, and reopened the 2008 version of the source solution, but have been unable to add a Linq to SQL file.  I can build the solution just fine, but this message \ prompt never appears..

Thanks,
Brian

Never mind... I found where to set the target framework under properties...

I BELIEVE this is the same functionality, but if it's not, please let me know... Either I'm an idiot today, or there's something seriously screwing with something I'm working on, because this whole thing seems about as stable as a jello mold... I'm getting all kinds of errors in the LINQ file (last time I tried anyway... Out of frustration I scrapped the entire install and started over because I was getting invalid token errors on the partial void declarations within the .dmbl file when I tried to work through the tutorial..)

Right click on the root inthe Solution Explorer and then select Build. Then change Target Framework to .NET Framework 3.5
