Hello,

I am new to the DNN world and to this forum. I am looking to install DNN 4 on a Windows 2003 Std Ed server that has MSDE (SP4) and DNN 3.2.2 installed on it.

I am hoping that DNN 3.x and 4.x can be installed in the same environment. .NET 1.1 and 2 are both installed on the server. DNN 3.2.2 is up and running. This server is functioning as a developement and testing box to see how the upgrades from a 3.x site works in a 4.x environment.

Does anyone have any advise or experience with this kind of install?

Thanks in advance.
Tak

Yes this is possible.

Just make sure that you use 2 seperate application pools in IIS, 1 of them defined as .NET v1.1x and the other as .NET v2.x and assign the v1.1x to DNN 3x and V2.x to DNN 4x.   Also don't forget to do the aspnet_regiis - c  stuff.

Then you should be good to go!
