Well, I just talked to the boss and after a couple of minutes of discussion, he's cleared me to go ahead and update to the 3.5 framework and vs2008.  So, thats good news... I'm downloading it now and will have to do the same tonight at home..

So, this will allow me to use the Linq to SQL technology as well, which I'm hoping will make this process even easier... 

More to follow tonight and tomorrow.
