How do I grant file permissions for specific sections? Each section has its own Section Editor, and I want to be able to have each Section Editor upload documents and information to his or her specific Section folder.

I went through the File Manager, and gave "View Folder" and "Write to Folder" access, but that doesn't seem to have done anything.

you need to grant edit permission to the root page of the section and activate inherit to decending pages

Hello Sebastian,

Thanks. And then where do they go to upload files? Or do they just use the "Upload New File" options in modules such as Documents?

So once permissions have been granted, should the "Files" icon under "Tasks" work?

AFAIK file manager is available to admins only. Other editors shall use upload features of modules and RichTextEditor.
